Heres a very useful site that has a lot of different exhausts tested on a gsx-r1000, there are sound clips of all of them. Thumbs Up

Wouldn't an aftermarket exhaust be useless if your restricted to 33bhp (apart for tart value)?

I was wondering that, was thinking of getting a Scorpion can for my Bandit but was chatting to Keith last night and he said that while restricted my engine could start to run a bit lean. Confused I'm not planning to derestrict it in the new future either. Sad

I want a new can just because mine is silent. Sad

Och it'll be fine jon. I recommend a loud pipe to anyone who's just past their test. I'm a true believer in that it saves lives....Okay, prevents accidents is more like it. Especially with silly pedestrians in town. Evil or Very Mad

Get a remus ALUCARBON can. They look the dogs bollocks. Better than my boring carbon fibre one did anyway. Can't seem to find any on google though Confused

If you're unsure about it running lean you can always take it to your dealer and ask them to sort it. Smile

I'll be picking up a Yoshimura Tri-oval (TRS) exhaust for my Gixxer in the next couple of months. Everyone's got them 'round here. They sound fantastic, but they're not deafeningly loud at idle. I'm sure the neighbors will appreciate my restraint when the bike's warming up in the carport every morning. Thumbs Up
