Hey up,
My bike is going to have its MOT done this week, and its my first one!
What documents do i need to take with me? V5, previous MOT cert?
Also what doc do i need take to have renew my road tax?

You don't need to take anything but take the old MOT if you have it so mileage can be verified at a later date. To tax your bike you would need the MOT, V5 and insurance certificate. Unless you have a reminder from DVLA then you don't need the V5.

You just need the old MOT if it's still current. You can MOT a month before it's actually due and they give you the 12 months from the old one's expiry date if you've got it with you. So technically you could get the new one valid for 13 months.
