95% wankers mate

The ones I have got away with a relatively minor offence is when they used to be bike riders them selves.

Do people really talk like that in real life? Shocked

Is it a competition to see who can squeeze the most repetitions of a 'cool' slang word for the police into one post?

I've only ever got annoyed with one PC in my life, and in all fairness to him, his atittude was well deserved, it's just a shame it was my friend that he should've been harrassing, not me.

Chances are the very same copper is sitting in a crew-room somewhere, annoying all of his mates with a tale about how a (insert annoying slang for jive-talking biker here) was a pain in the arse, and how he saw you off in an amusing fashion.

Even more stupid is the fact that even if you were restricted you're able to ride an R6 anyway. Oh well, least he apologised.

Whilst we're on the subject of Police or feds or Old Bill or whatever, and their apparent 'above the law' attitude I read this rather disturbing report off another website.

I apologise for it being nothing to do with bikes but it is related to the topic of this thread.

Quote:
A sorry tale of Boro plod

If losing in such disappointing fashion was n’t bad enough, there was worse to come after the game and I’m not talking about the hailstorm in bright sunshine either. Coming out of the ground, Spurs fans were ambushed by local plod and held back. I had an idea they may have something nasty planned for the Spurs supporters but sneaked out un detected but what follows is the testimony of two people who were caught up with the Boro old bill. Surely this can’t be right in your own country with the presumption of innocence.

Report 1: Came out of the ground at Boro with the other Spurs fans and started to walk towards the station when we were forced back against the wall by a line of police, with batons drawn, + horses. We were told to stay where we were and shut up. Police moved along the line videoing and photographing everyone. After about 15 minutes or so we were moved in a police escort towards the station, two abreast on the pavement with a continuous line of police alongside us in the road and a convoy of police cars and dog vans outside them.

The people walking on the kerbside were continually being pushed by the police and told to hurry up but we were all walking heel to toe with the person in front so you couldn't go any faster even if you wanted to. I saw one woman walking at the pace of all of us around, saying nothing and doing exactly what the police were telling her to do but they still found it necessary to shove her in the back so that she collided with the person in front of her.

After a couple of hundred yards there was a hold up in the line a few people in front of me. As we moved on there was a Spurs fan down on his knees on the pavement - I don't know if he was ill or hurt or whatever but he was down anyway. His mate a little way in front came back to see if he was alright and was told by the police to keep walking. When he protested the copper rammed his baton two-handed into the bloke's stomach. They then broke the line up into smaller groups by inserting horses and foot police into the crowd.

I was at the back of our group and the police horse's mouth, bridle & bit was hitting me in the back of the head every step. For the last couple of hundred yards before the station I had a black fellow walking along with me at the back. I don't know his name but I've seen him countless times on the coach and train at away matches. He's in his forties I would imagine and a decent geezer not some mouthy young yob but when we got just outside the station by the Bridge pub the line slowed down with this poxy police horse and a couple of police behind me and him at the back of the line.

He hadn't said a word while we were walking to me or plod but then for no reason at all the copper behind hit him twice in the back with the flat of his hand and told him to keep moving even though the line had slowed up. It wasn't a push it was two full-bloodied hits with the palm of his hand completely out of the blue. The black bloke said something like 'stop doing that' and the copper immediately put his baton over the bloke's head and up under his throat. He was holding it two-handed and ran backwards dragging the fellow with him, then threw him to the ground and 3 other brave police dived onto the poor sod on the floor.

Everyone at the back of the line started protesting and getting really agitated but the line of old bill closed behind us and we were shoved into the station. We walked freely in the station until the next set of doors where we were filtered down into one line and every single person was given a shove through into the platform area. Smaller, weaker people, women and girls, many in tears, were all pushed roughly in the back. If you looked straight at the old bill doing the pushing like the pieces of shit that they were they didn't even look you in the eye and you only got a light hand on your shoulder.

What happened to the black fellow outside the station was a brutal, totally unprovoked assault from behind and it the worst piece of violence I have seen at a football ground or anywhere else for that matter for years. The police were thuggish, bullying cowards who seemed to be trying to outdo each other but only when they could be mob handed and pick on easy targets. The police wore yellow jackets with Cleveland Police on the back but no numbers or other ID on them. The one guilty of the assault outside the station had nothing that could distinguish him from all the others tossers. The 20 or 30 other police in the immediate vicinity stood watching while it happened and were all equally guilty. The prick that did it knows who he is, the others know who he is but they will all hide behind their uniform. The bloke walking next to me was about the same height and build as me and did nothing and said nothing to provoke them but was still the victim of a 'legal' assault. It could have just as easily have been me that was picked on - the only difference being that he was black and I am white.

A bunch of spineless, cowardly, racist bastards.

a few weeks back after my off, i was guiing a friend through coventry to rugby from bassets pole,

i dodged the odd pot hole and was doing so when i saw a cop car going the other way, now there is nothing wrong with avoiding huge pot holes ( if you've been to cov you'll understand what i mean as pot holes are more like craters) the guy driving was staring at me and shouting soemthing. but i carried on..he had his window up how cold i hear him...?

carried on pootling along, me on my nsr and friend on his nc29. when ihear a siren, by now we had stopped at lights and i had said to my mate...they're coming for me....i ont know how i knew but i did, just the way they were starign at me...

so yep cops appear, pull me over...
i pull bike over turn it off, sitting on bike i was about to take helmet off and they were there...super fast one either side.

officer 1: why were you warming you tyres up back there?
me: I wasnt ive ridden all the way from bassets pole theyr warm.
officer 1: so why were you weaving?!
me: i was avoiding the rather large potholes.
officer1: riiiiiiitttteee.......(really slowly whilst looking round my bike)
passed your test have you?
me: yes 6weeks ago with david brown in nuneaton.
officer1: riiiiiitttteeee (tucks his hands into his vest)
what happened to your front left inidcator?
me: i fell off and a new one is on order from alf englands i have the receipt if you wish to see it.
officer 1: riiiitteee
both walk back to car....mutter something....which i cant hear and say pardon ? to....but still cant hear... and they drive off ...

ride upto my m8 who just carried on and pulled up further on.
he was in stitches....

but i have a feeling the cops were just bored, but he didnt check my plate or insurance or tax....just pulled me over for the hell of it.... Rolling Eyes

pain in the bottom....

On the other hand, the police see two (young?- your profile states you are a student) people on bikes weaving along a road. I

'm quite glad they stopped you, as it means they would assumedly have stopped any little scrotes that were blatting along the same road on stolen mopeds.

Being stopped by the police is always an annoyance, but people on here seem to be extremely intolerant of it, and hugely critical of the police's attitude and behaviour. Could it be that, just as some of us accuse the police of unthinking bias towards us, we have a similar automatic bias against them?

Bikers are all speed-hungry law-breaking tw*ts, with very few exceptions.

A quick breeze through many of the threads here would provide circumstancial evidence for the above statement, but it wouldn't mean it was true, or that the comments on here are indicative of the entire bike community. As such, neither do a few stories of how the Babylon tries to crush our biking spirit prove that all the police are power-hungry twats.

Quite. It always amazes me at work how quick my colleagues are to detail their tales of woe and suffering at the hands of the Five-Oh, and how 'all pigs are scum", only to hear the same officers whining that all detainees and visitors treat them a certain way because of the uniform they are wearing.

My personal experiences with coppers have all been ok, I think this is down to my attitude.

When I were a lad I was always driving shit cars and got pulled over loads of times. I was always polite, reasonable and honest. (Well unless I was lying through my teeth but you know what I mean).

Due to my attitude I got the same back, I got away with loads of bald tyres, talking on a mobile etc...

Once I was driving my gf's mams car (no documents) when I got pulled. I told the copper I was test driving it with a view to buying it, and because I was so reasonable and tidy he let me off with a warning to not let him see me in the car again until I was legit.

I reckon generally they treat you as you treat them.

There are exceptions of course.

I dont have a problem with individual coppers, just the way the police force works, ie penalising small numberplates and loud exhausts, when there are plenty of idiots out there talking on mobile fones... how many small number plates caused an accident?

but thats off topic.

and it was the way the copper spoke to me, okay i have to give him a certain level of respect, but if im being polite to him i expect him to be polite to me not 'riiiiiite' and walk off while talking to me...

yeh thats true, when you're being polite etc... and they're being patronising I can see how things would go tits up pretty quickly.

My general view is that the police are fucking useless actually, wether this is down to them or the rules they have to work under I dont know.

My car was attacked with a hammer once (whilst me and my mates were driving in it!), I gave the police the guys name, reg number, and address. And the name of winesses who'd seen it happen and were willing to give statements. (These guys were well known local nutters - shotguns in the house, that kind of thing, proper valley idiots).

A few weeks later I got a letter - sorry, due to a lack of evidence blah blah etc...

About 3 months later a load of CID came to the house to find out what'd happened. I showed them the letter and basically told them they were useless. These CID were a followup team who go around checking why the unsolved cases were left unsolved (for stats I suppose). Tey were furious and wanted me to continue and said If I'd give a statement they'd personnaly push the case. Unfortunately the witnesses had lost their bottle by then and said they didnt want toget involved. But if the police hadnt been so incompetent in the 1st place it wouldve been sorted.

Unfortunately it only takes one person to ruin the reputation of the whole force for some people effected.

However I think the police is an instituition where members should be as good as possible thanks to the powers they have.
