Howdy,

I have a cargo net, but it is too small for my GS500's seat ( ican hook it on both sides - just, but there's no way anything would fit under it)

It's about a foot by a foot unstretched. Any idea where I can get a bigger one? I have googled, but none of the sites that came up give the size of the nets.

Cheers. Thumbs Up

Confused

Too small!?

I've *aquired many cargo nets over the last four years and never had any problems with them being too small... I've gotten all sorts under them too, ranging from something small like a spare helmet to HUGE things, like tail pack + spare leathers + tent. They're very stretchy - come on work those biceps! Laughing

Yup. You should just be able to keep stretching it. Don't worry about it breaking. Smile

Maybe I've got a dodgy one then (it was a cheap 'un off ebay).

I just hung it from the top of a door and put my full weight on it, and it only stretched to about 2 feet. That would struggle to get a helmet under it (then the hinges made a baaad noise! Shocked )

Where did you lot get yours from?

I borrowed one at BullDogBash from a stallholder (which I never managed to return)

Another was borrowed from Silver Machine in Wolverhampton, along with several extra bungies

I borrowed a very attractive red one from a Suzuki Dealers in Kidderminster (I think.. Confused )

I also bought one (yes - bought) from Wylie and Hollands in Telford because I was desperate.

I have at least one under the CBR seat, another under the GSXR seat and one in my panniers now Very Happy not sure what happened to the red one Thinking

Nah, Silver Machine were griping when they leant me theirs because apparently they're "always lending these bloomin' things out and we never get them back" Laughing

The place in Kidderminster leant one to my then bf as well...

BdB, they definitely felt sorry for me looking at my bike with no idea how on earth I was going to fit everything on Very Happy
