Noooooooooooooo.........iv dropped my bike!

Iv dropped my bike and put a huge dent/crease in the fuel tank.
iv got a quote for it and its going to cost me £50 and i need to get a new sticker for the tank aswell.

This is because my tank is running from reserve all the time so i run out of petrol all the time anyway i ran out of petrol then had to push the bike 2/3 miles to the gas station and got nearly there and slipped on some bloody gravel and over went the bike and fell on a traffic light post and made a nice dull thud noooooo why me' why me?.....................

no i use that to see when iv done 200 miles to tighten up my chain and i usaly forget to check it for that to.

Chain tightness isn't something which is going to strand you in the middle of nowhere, so long as you keep on top of lubing and checking/ adjusting the tension every week.

i know but the trip ometer isint designed for seeing how much fuel iv got left thats the job of the reserve tank!

I'd say that's what 99% of people use their tripometer for.

The fuel gauge on my bike tells me how much fuel I have. However, it does lie! The number of times it's in the red, only to open un the cap and see half a tank sloshing about! Kawasaki quality strikes again.

If your running on reserve all the time your also probably dragging all kinds of crap into the motor. I've never seen the reserve light on my bike and usually fill up at the half full mark.

I have two trip meters

I use one as a fuel indicator, and the other for Oil Changes/Maintanence. (reset at every Oil Change), know what points I may need to do other stuff at.

i can do "roughly" about 110 ish miles on the FZR6, always use tripometer to judge distance, if i go onto reserve my fuel tap leaks slighty.

ok ok well i think the pipe that sucks the fuel from the top of the tank has fallen off so its no lower then the reserve pipe hence its running like its on reserve all the time.
