So last night, I met up with beasty1711 for a blast down through stratford and round to worcester. Ride starts off well, with us meeting up in Hampton in Arden, me on my GSXR600, and beasty on his 748.

We head off down through Warwick, and work our way down to stratford, where we stop for a coke before continuing on towards worcester.
As we get off the bikes in Stratford, I notice beasty sticking his disc lock on, and think to myself "that's a good idea", and do the same.
We walk off, have a coke each, and chat about work/bikes/etc.

Cokes finished, it's time to go. We walk back to the bikes, and the minute i see my disc lock a horrifying thought hits my mind... "Did I bring my disc lock keys??"
I tap my pockets, heart racing... at which point hysteria hits.

I'm stuck in fucking Stratford-Upon-Avon, with my bike safely locked up, with the lock keys tucked up in my jacket at home. I'd come in my 1-piece you see. Arse!

So, a few embarrasing phone calls later, and a friend is on his way to pick me up. Was 10pm when I eventually got home.

And before you say it, my lock keys are now on the same ring as my bike keys! Mr. Green Embarassed Embarassed

...that's all okay until you loose the bike keys Rolling Eyes

FWIW I clip the lock keys onto my house keys. Bike key ring only has stuff on for the bike.

Good lesson though, thanks for the story Thumbs Up Wink Very Happy

Why would you think that?

The thing just clicks shut! I now leave it locked in my bike, so I have to unlock it to stick it on the disc Embarassed

Ignition key and lock keys on the same ring - you're not going anywhere without them. Then the lock keys and a spare ignition key on the ring with my house keys. Seeing as I need the house keys to get into the garage, I'm not going to forget those either.

I have left my keys in the ignition a total of two times! Embarassed

First time was in McDonald's car park at night, asked my mate if he had my keys, he didnt, went outside to check on bike, keys were sat in ignition. Second time was last week. Locked bike up with chain, went off. About two hours later, while playing football, checked for keys and couldnt find them. Worst thought came through my head, wondering whether I left them in the ignition and bike being gone (btw this is quite a popular area for chavs). So I sprinted back to my bike, a bit of relief seeing it still sat there (have spare key at home). Went over to it, only to find my keys sat there! So I jumped on it and brought it over to where we all were playing footie. I really gotta be more careful!

I've kinda done the keys thing.

Picture the scene, missus in the car with the baby, me on the bike. We're going down to my dads for him to look after the baby while the missus has her first pillion ride.

I'm buzzing about just before we leave loading the car with pram, toys etc.

Missus says to me i'll meet you at your dads, just got to lock the house up. I say ok, and ride off.

Get to my dads (bout 5-6 miles away) and he's stood in front of his house calling me a dickhead.

I'm just wondering why, and then i realise, i've got the car key in my jeans pocket! And the spare key in my jacket pocket.

Ah, was a bit sheepish when i got back home to see the missus and baby sat in the car!
