Very Happy Very Happy

Just fitted my exhaust to my ZXR 400, it sounds so good. I have only taken the bottom baffle out for now, as I am copying the other guy on here who did the same Razz

Anyway, anything I need to do now I have put a new exhaust on, or should it be ok?

I will get pics of my bike for you all soon, just finishing off tarting it up. Thumbs Up

Yea it runs really nicely, although I haven't tested it out properly (only down my back road as I am yet to pass my test). Sounds gorgeous too. I will get pics up as soon as I can.

As far as tarting it up, I have replaced the fuel tank bolts with anodised purple ones (look so cool lol) I put a glow in the dark resevoir cap and oil filler cap on too. I know some of you won't approve, but it looks cool at night Smile Getting double bubble tinted green screen soon, just ordered green and white Hein Gericke leathers and a green AGV Helmet too.

Pics will be up in the photos section soon, plus test booked in for thursday, I better bloody pass Confused

The ZXR400 really is a tarts bike! Razz Every bugger's got one, and every bugger seems to be tarting them up! Laughing

Just make sure to keep all the original pieces for when you want to sell it. Not everyone's tastes are the same.

It's the internet. People say what they think, usually without the mental checkpoint you'd have in real life... "Yes dear, your bum does look big in that".

Anyway, it's either criticism or nauseating "Wow man that's really awesome" backslapping and frankly they're both as bad as each other.

Do what you like with your own bike, but don't expect everyone to like it. If you're doing it cos you like it, you shouldn't care. If you're doing it cos you want other people to like it, you need help.

If people only want to hear others saying 'that looks great', then they shouldn't ask for opinions.
Alternativly expect that a lot of other people may think it looks crap so do do it for yourself, rather than in the hope that other people will ladle praise on you.

Personally I think most bolt on accessories makes you look less indivdual rather than more.

Well i think that now your just being argumentative and pedantic,

I apologise that I have obviously offended you somehow.
Pedantic? Sorry, I thought I was commenting on quite a broad area and something that does seem more like common sense than an argument.
Unless you are arguing that everyone should say they think that the latest addition to someone's bike looks really good when they think the opposite?
Personally I would be quite annoyed if I asked for opinions oppinion and was told the compelte opposite of what they think. In a similar vein I would also be annoyed if I wanted to know what people think and only those that agreed with me thought so; were this the case I wouldn't have bothered.

This is an open forum. If I post up a picture of one of my bikes I quite expect people to say 'dirty shit heap'; if I was offended by such a thing I wouldn't post it in to an open discussion forum.

Lol sweet Going2fast Thumbs Up

How does the top baffle come out then, is it just a case of removing the circlip (sp?) and pulling it out like the bottom one. Just the bottom one was like a solid thing that blocked it, and the top seems to be some slightly longer thing (I am so technical)

Have you done anything to your carbs or whatever some people do after putting performance exhausts on? Like rejetting or whatever?

I notice there is a very small amount of fluid (like clear water looking fluid) trickling out the end of my exhaust, not like pouring out or even dripping, just spitting out a bit. Is this bad?

Sorry, I am always so full of questions...

Thanks,

Ben

Yeah mine does the same, its just un-burnt fuel i believe. Really nice when it pops Razz
Ive done nothing to the carbs or jets, no real need. Only end can, though if you had a full system i would. Spose you should, or could not that its needed. Others would say otherwise.

Oh heres a picture for you... Twisted Evil
