I've been eyeing aftermarket mufflers since before I'd even decided which bike to buy. This one muffler stands out to me as the best of the best. The creme de la creme, as it were. Any opinions? The assembly quality is reputed to be quite exceptional...

The one I forgot to add until after I hit 'submit'. And yes, I do it in e-mails too...

Its nice but if I had that bike I would go with a blue and black carbon micron exhaust.

Are they not incredibly anally retentive about emissions in California? They going to let you away with a loud exhaust?

Just wondering.

Haven't heard of holeshot. However assembly quality usually only effects initial fitting of the exhaust.

Akrapovic and Yoshi are both considered to be good 'big name' brands.

If I was to get a new exhaust I would probably go with 'Mark Hill Performance'; but he does race in the same series that I do and offered me a lot of help for nothing at my last meeting. His systems seemed pretty good quality as well. No help to you as I believe he to some degree custom makes them and is based in the UK Smile.

Holeshot are supposed to be a very decent performance brand, used fairly extensively by the more serious streetracers iirc. As long as you are going for a full-on tune on the motor and not just a slip on can then go for it, should be a good buy Thumbs Up

Lovely bloke, very helpful and has kept all his records from his dyno days. I recommended one of his end cans in one of the first posts I replied in but no-one knew him.

I have one of his pipes on my 750L
