I think the styling could benefit from a well designed underseat exhaust.
Black would definatly he the colour of choice though Thumbs Up

TBH the only reason I would buy an R6 is if it was going for a really good price. It is quite a way down on my 600 list.

Drooling Ooooo.... That's really nice. I was determined to get a yellow and black Gixxer, but the R6 has been really growing on me recently. I can't decide if this is similar to smoker branding (got a baby Yamaha atm) or if they are just hella nice bikes Very Happy

you only live once so I would say go for it and enjoy her as much as you can I have had my ZX-6R for 15 months now and I loved it because it had great brakes, handled awesome, looked great, had more than enough power for the track and was cheap to run and maintain the only downside was it had firm suspension which was a bit of a pain on long rides but other than that any 600 is a hoot to ride and a joy to own Thumbs Up

I had the 03 model and it was really good, comfy for a lot of miles, great on track and reliable.
It also comes with a proper exhaust.
Good to see they have not jumped on the same bandwagon as everyone else as far as that goes.

Go for it.

I was gonna go into all the safety issues raised by having a black bike, not being able to be seen etc...

Then I remembered my NSR's black! Laughing Laughing

my bike is fluroescent green and I am amazed that people can't see me when I am right alongside them I must be invisible to everybody except the plod Rolling Eyes but then again Ninjas are supposed to cloak them selves in darkness and slip away undetected in society!

Well thats probably because you spent a load of money on your CBR and are now trying to justify it to everyone, but anywho...
I dont think there is much in it at all in the 600 market, its so competative that buy an R6, GSXR, CBR-RR, ZX6R.... they are so incredably close it comes down to personal taste, but dude... dont slag the 2005 R6 down, its a marvel... and i assume you came to your "600 List" rankings by thoroughly test riding every bike in the class?????

Haha bit touchy are we? Don't be such a big girl - I didn't slag it off. Like you said it's down to personal taste and I don't feel the need to justify my bike to anyone.

You've already answered that question

The R6 is a great bike, but I just prefer others.
