Well i consider myself a "ok" rider, im no speed freak but im not an old granny in a micra, i wish to hop onto a bandit 600 after my test, ive been looking at one (n600) and i like it, just wondering is it too much for me to handle? ive ridden 400's before and i wasnt too bad.
Origonaly i was after a zxr 400 but being a tall bloke i would rather go for a road bike, and bandits really apeal to me, ( in cherry red) i know the bike only goes as fast as i make it, but i dont want to kill my self on my 3rd bike, also were there any restrictors made for the n600?
also any good/bad points with bandits (older model) i think it was an R reg, is there any thing i should look out for damage wize?
some info would be great
btw im on a 4t 125.
thanks, Steve. ____________________ Current : 06 Zx10r, 07 Wr450f SM, 74 850 norton commando, 63 bsa b40, 1962 Triton 650, 67 Triumph Tr6r, 1955 Triton 750, 1978 TY250E. |

Hah I went from 50cc ped to a 600 Bandit...you'll be fine. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. If you think a 125 to a 600 is a big jump, how do you think Jon felt going from a 50cc scooter to the bandit? ^ As he just said.
Personally, I think they are cracking bikes and I too went from a 125 (only it was a 2-stroke) to the bandit6.
Good points:
Cheap to buy, cheap to run, decent amount of power, look great, handle well, very comfortable.
Bad points:
Build quality could be better as they tend to rust/corrode quite quickly if you let the elements get to it, (but what bike doesnt?) they all have an awful problem with the exhaust system, (collector box rots quickly due to being made from mild steel, as I have found out lately. )
They're a decent bike, and people are tempted because you get quite a lot of bike for a very low price. It wont be too much to handle at all, they are very user friendly, especially when restricted.
I'm pleased enough with my bandit (also the naked model) which is in pretty good nick considering its 9 year old. Only problem I have had with mine is the awful collector box gremlin but thats pretty much sorted now. Very nice bike and you wouldnt go wrong with one. ____________________ Aprilia RSV Mille R Edwards Replica - Aprilia RS250 - Suzuki GSXR600 Supersport Race Bike

I paid £660 fully comp, 17 with 1 year no claims, also with Carole Nash. They arent expensive at all to insure. I could of got it far cheaper but I couldnt be bothered with the calling round, I was happy enough with that one anyway. ____________________ Aprilia RSV Mille R Edwards Replica - Aprilia RS250 - Suzuki GSXR600 Supersport Race Bike |
