Thank god for some decent weather and a day off

Has been a bloody lovely sunny day down here for a change....warm enough and absolutely no wind at all Very Happy

Went for a thrash on the R6...one of those where you just dont have any plans and you dont know where you are going to go etc ....

Out into the countryside..ish Confused down to paddock wood, wrotham etc lots of Kent Police out an about but not many cars otherwise

just some good chilled out riding which wasnt too silly for a change

got some great kneedowns going and managed my first ever left knee down Very Happy well pleased

on the way to the pub stopped at my favorite roundabout and got some stupid lean angles going, nearly destroyed my sparkies and left some nice colorful red n white lines round the roundabout .... got so carried away i started to wear away some of the knee patch from my leathers .... Laughing

a lil too much lean methinks Very Happy

only thing that spoiled the day was a silly chav who pulled out on me ...car loaded with his chav mate an chavettes

when i pulled alongside to show him what i thought of him he seemed to be amused..

managed to stop myself just before my fist went through his wing mirror.....just about Embarassed

silly chavcunt

other than that a wonderful sunny sunday afternoon ride Very Happy Very Happy

lol, looks like you did get a tad carried away. But more practice aint it. Nice to see you had a good day. Can't say the weather has been good down here. Been overcast and raining since friday. Was meant to play in a football tournament yesterday but that didn't happen because of non stop heavy rain. How come you didn't take the duke?

Ah I see, know what you mean mate. See it, like it, buy it, no matter what the situation is with license's Wink

At least you got a beastie bike to ride once you get the license though. Much to the envy of a vast majority of bikers on here I bet. Not keen on Dukes myself, but still lovely bikes. Only thing I like about them is their big loud lumps, you just know when its a Ducati coming from the other side of town! Wink

I went for a lovely ride in the Peak district. Stopped in Matlock Bath for burger + ice cream and to look at the bikes. It was sunny and very warm with shits loads of bikes there. Then did a circular route taking in the Snake Pass and the Cat n Fiddle and probably the best roads and scenery in Derbyshire.

Unfortunately I came off the bike on the twisty section of the A5012, on one of the bends near to Cromford that tightens up alot(heading towards cromford). Realised what the road was doing but stupidly reached for the front brake whilst trying to keep the bike lent over - Didn't use heavy braking but I lost the front almost immediately.

I was unscathed and with the help of a few people got the bike up and rolled it down to Cromford where I decided I could ride it home(had to use pillion footpeg on the lhs and change-up gear using my heel). It shouldn't be too expensive to fix up(no damage to tank and engine casing only lightly scratched). Will also need to get some basic repairs to my leathers. I think there was a fatality on the A6 so can appreciate I got off lightly(if was going faster me + the bike would have ended up going down a bank into a rocky stream below, or if a car had come round the corner from the other direction there's no way they could have avoided me as I was skidding down the tarmac).

So not a great day but up untill binning it I was enjoying the superb weather, scenery and roads and having a good time. This summer is gonna rock Thumbs Up (once I get a job and fix the bike up Rolling Eyes )

But only I use the performance bikes sliders as my main set! And notice how much of the actual leathers are scuffed from overrunning my old set of sliders.

And I ride an XJ600!

I've got a vid of me knee down, waving.

Yours may be the death race, but I repeat mine's an XJ600, a 15 year old shagged commuter bike, with 72k on the clocks.

There's very little left of my right peg.

I can also get my KD on the road, and my left knee Cool

When we meet up one day it's gonna be like a breakdancing meet, trying to out-do each other with the KDs.

I've got my KD into car parks, I can get my KD at junctions from standstill, and in little circles in car parks.

The BCF KD school starts here!

You will also have to replace your sliders far too often and will eventually need new pegs. Laughing

There must be something quite satisfying about grinding the flag of St. George into the ground. Funny how English people are doing it. Wink

Dude, I'm so jealous, I can only KD on my second pass of a roundabout. Damnit, I so obviously need more practice. I still can't get my KD without a roundabout, and my left knee won't touch. Feels awkward. Confused

Where and when's the school then? Wink
