I have never really liked the bandits...until now. Reason being, i have seen a nice one on bike trader, decent price...went looking around the net to see what i can do to one, and I LIKE..

Now i am asking if anyone knows much about them (the 600 version)

They are suzuki so they must be a decent bike??

any niggles with them etc??

cheers

ash

The bolts rust quickly, there are a few more but don't have the energy to post any more. Razz

My post here pretty much sums up the ups and downs of the bike.

"Good points:
Cheap to buy, cheap to run, decent amount of power, look great, handle well, very comfortable.

Bad points:
Build quality could be better as they tend to rust/corrode quite quickly if you let the elements get to it, (but what bike doesnt?) they all have an awful problem with the exhaust system, (collector box rots quickly due to being made from mild steel, as I have found out lately."

I also asked a very similar question a few months back, might help to take a look at this thread. Got some very useful information, might help you out as well. Thumbs Up

how cheap is cheap, i would only consider one if it were under a grand.

ive had a few goes and while its nice and solid there just doesnt seem to be any power curve and for not much more you can get a lot better bikes.

the bandit is simply not in the same class as the sv, both are built to a budget and have the same shit bolts{1} but the sv engine is a monster which has all the power/torque where you need it and damn cheap insurance.

{1} i wish suzuki had a factory option of decent bolts
