I always warm up my RS before going anywhere, they're self destructive little things at the best of times!
From cold to 55 usually takes about 4-5 minutes with a couple of blips of the throttle. Even after that I'll ride it gently at first. |

About 1 minute probably, just till it can pull away without chugging then don't get her lit for 5 minutes. ____________________ Northern Irish? www.nibikers.com |

There's been a few threads on this. It takes over 15minutes for any bike to be fully warmed up.
I ride my bike away as soon as i've started it and if it's warm enough I will start it without the choke(mostly requires a little bit of throttle though). If not, i'll turn the choke off as soon as i'm moving. Kickstart put forward a pretty good argument why it's not good for your bike to leave it idling with the choke on: The extra petrol washes the oil away from the cylinder meaning more metal-on-metal contact ____________________ Hard livin', hard luck. |
