Hi lads i have a ZXR400 H1 and have found this item on ebay

will it make much of a difference? do i need it? where and how does it go on the bike if i do but it?

Any help would be much appreciated!

imports are restriced to summin like 108 mph as part of jap laws i think

it jus stops a cut off at said mph

well if your bike can go over 112mph at the moment then you dont need one


are you riding at restricted to 33bhp or not

need more info young man

id expect they plug in between the cdi or whatever and overule the limiter??

i havent ridden it yet as it is sat in my garage in bits semi sprayed. I bought it in bits and im putting it back together. So i couldnt tell you that much yet. It should be back together on friday and down for MOT etc. on saturday.

So do you guys recon i should go for it and take the risk, the only thing that bugs me is when i have it i dont know where to put it! does any body have any experience with the H model ZXR's?

its more than likely that the japanese de-restriction has already been done when originally imported


if its been restricted to 33bhp at some point then you will have to remove the restriction if you are riding on a full unrestricted license

and thats remove the tank the airbox and the carbs and the four metal washers in the inlets
