Wanted: Honda CG125

I am soon to take my CBT (28th of May) and will need a bike assuming I pass.

I'm after a CG125 with about 10k on the clock, budget is £500.

I am in Bath, which is Nr. Bristol.

This one is for sale. £700

Would be able to deliver but say an extra £50 - £100 to deliver
(depending on train fare back).

The milleage indicated is 19K, however the bike in an earlier life had been repaired after a crash. Thus the spedo was replaced.

The person I bought it from, bought it from the company who repaired the bike ( he said it had done 4000 Miles.) I've done about 1500 on it, it has been serviced and mirrors recently changed.

I bought this bike in February (4 days after doing my CBT) and have just passed my test again on this bike and hopefully getting a Kawasaki ER-5 This weekend.

train fair back i believe is about £50...im inbetween both bath and bristol...

Nahh i'm an old guy(33), bought the 125 to learn on, took 2 lessons and passed my test first time . I was meant to be doing direct access, but it cost me near to nothing to pass my test, so will just wait 2 years.

I'd need for someone to be serious ie come up paid deposit etc, before riding to Bristol.

Unfortunately that is £200 over my budget, and I cannot justify that money on a bike which cannot prove its mileage (as it will make it harder to sell).

If you were directing the age question at me, I am 20, 21 in July Razz

and I went to School in Corsham. Based in Bath now though.

I think you would do good to get a decent CG for £500.

Thing is you can buy it, practice on it, then sell it on hopefuly not making much of a loss.

I do have a potential buyer for the bike, but she is not a biker.

I have seen a CG125 (R plate) with like 8k miles on it go for £550 on ebay, but it was in leeds so too far away.

These bikes go on for ever, one of the most reliable 125s, so as long as I find one with sensible mileage and in good nick I can't see it being a problem. I've seen lots go for around £500.

I've also been advised by other bikers that £500 is fine to spend on a 125.

I'd re-consider buying your bike if you could PROOVE the mileage genuine, unfortunately I don't take anyones word for anything these days, I've been stung too many times in the past Crying or Very sad

Yorkshire again, about 15 miles from leeds.

No I can't prove the milleage.

The worst case is it has 19K on the clocks.
