I would go for the DT definitely.

Fully modded? What are you talking exactly?

Either will be pretty fast if you fit an R1 engine Smile.

The DT has more possiblity for tuning, but in my opinion there's little point going overboard; for the money spent you could pass your test (presuming you haven't) and get a much faster bike that weighs and handles the same.

the dt125 will be a cheaper bike to modify because you will need less parts, also it has got gears which is a bit more exciting and it will turn more heads. Also most scooter rides are looked at as the nuisances on the road.

Hope this is helpfull.

What's a Typhoon 125? It's not a scooter is it? If so, then the answer is obvious.

Try and get your hands on a 04 DTR
The best and last DTR that looked good.

Then get on the phone to www.dirtbikestore.co.uk

They got some tasty bits for the DTR and can help you out with tuning.

Nice Thumbs Up

Make sure you get third party fire and theft.

They (fucking scum) will attempt to nick a dt at any opportunity they can get.

Best make sure your covered for when it happens, or you will be as pissed off as i am atm.

ok a a Tyhoon 125 needs a 172 kit and a new pipe to make about 16-18bhp. Then it might do 80mph if your lucky? The DT needs de-restricting, (easier on the older models before 98) and then you have 20bhp r/w and 85mph!
