Hi

https://www.larsoa.org.uk/newsform_aa_speed_limit.htm#survey

Survey about an 80 speed limit, from a group representing local government road safety officers.

Get your bids in for an increased limit.

All the best

Keith

Wont vote as it doesn't seem relevent to me. It's tiptoing around the point. How is it safe to do 80mph on the M25 and not on the M1?

The point is that most people do travel at 80mph on most motorways as it is clearly safe.

It feels fun to travel at 100mph, but if all other traffic was travelling at that speed as it was the speed limit, then the fun would decrease. Think in reality most bikers pretend they want more sensible speed limits, as an excuse to break the existing ones. They really like the existing speed limits since it means they can travel alot faster than anyone else and get a buzz from it.

If it would mean the cameras would be on based on the 80mph speed limit, I think it's a bad idea. In times when you can go that fast we will have people doing 90-100 and more panick braking under every gantry incase there's Gatso's hidden on it.
