ok the moped is generally fu@ked, apparently the crank is knackered causing the piston to hit the spark plug.

right, i need to sell the thing soon , as my car insurance , and saving for a 125cc is more important.

so do i spend the money to get the crank sorted and sell it running,

sell it as a rolling chassis with a starting problem?

or break it for parts.

i would prefer to do the last two as i dnt really want to spend more money to lose out more when i come 2 sell it ,

what are your opinions.?

if it doesnt makes sense, its because i rush typed this,

cheers

JIM

i would say to try to sell it as a bike with a problem. But the only thing about this would be that you will have to let it go a lot cheaper. But if it is too much to repair it yourself then you may as well.

Breaking for parts would be very time consumung and you would end up with parts that won't sell imo. Depends on what moped it is though.

Advertise it on Ebay jim, as a non-runner. Also advertise your 70cc kit at the same time (saying you have it advertised else where, and retain the right to withdraw it from auction at any time) This way you can sell the parts seperately if you dont manage to sell the whole thing.
Im taking its not a job that could be done with a haines manual given the tools? Danny Brock (mums cousin) has every tool ever made in his garage i swear.
When putting the bike up for auction state the price of the replacement part, with a web link if possible, so that some silly ped boi pikey may think he's onto a winner, forgetting about labour charge.
