Been to the BMF today, great fun, even in the torrential rain! Smile

Got down there around 10:30. It was a plesant suprise to be off the main road, onto site and parked within a few minutes. Usually at bike shows if you go in the car you need to add an hour on your timeframe for parking!
Some PR girls were handing out some free Muller rice at the entrance gate which was good Thumbs Up , Paid £28 for me and the mrs and went in.

It was a good day out, not a big as I expected it to be but big enough to get lost anyway! The main difference I found with this show was the prices were good. I bought several items and didn't even bother haggling down as they were more than reasonable.

I was most impressed with the Hein Gerrick 'soiled' tent. All gear which had failed their rigourous testing but was up for grabs at a BIG discount. definetly one NOT to miss. I would advise you check the item thoroughly as some were worse than others but if you looked, there were items with a bit of velcro missing or a little bit of fraying. Nothing that couldn't be repaired for any more than a fiver.

Anyway, some pics at the show. Sorry guys, the mrs was around so I didnt get any of the PR girls!

Why is she stood on the sofa? Confused Is she really short or does your camera only work at one height? Laughing

We're off there tomorrow. Hoping to pick up some decent offroad kit Thumbs Up

AGV offroad helmet £60 (Normally £90)
Oakley O-Frame Goggles £25
Axo waterproof jacket with shoulder, elbow and forearm armour £59
Oxford Products Tank n Tailer tankbag £20 (Normally £40)

Yep, Just got back myself. Weather Turned out to be really sunny although the ground itself was a mudpit in places.

My buys of today were

A New Lid for £30.00 from the Frank Thomas stall
A textile racing jacket for my style conscious six year old boy £25
A texport Jacket for the Missus £40.00
A Belstaff Airblast jacket for £50
and a pair of summer gloves for £20.00

Visited the Oxford stall and purchased a Lid Bag for a £1 and asked if they had any biro's I could borrow (probably the 50,000th they have heard that this weekend.

On the way back however I witnessed some poor guy who had been knocked off his bike by a 4x4 on one of the sliproads so hope everybody got back safely Sick

No purchases today, as I spent most of my time in the middle of the track during the enduro race, taking photos. Once you're in there, you're kinda stuck really, 'cos there's no way out 'til the racing's over!!

Got some cracking pics though! Very Happy

Was a good day, I couldn't believe how big it is! Shocked

Got a few bargains

    3 man tent £20
Hein gericke textile trousers with a hole in the pocket £20
    Black Shoei raid helmet £99
    1/4lb burger £2.00

I also picked up some new allen keys, some R&G crash bungs, gaffa tape and cable ties as I was lacking them and they're essential in the tool kit.

I only wanted some boots but ended up buying a one piece Texport suit and a quarter pounder (with cheese).
I've still got a hole in my boot but at least the rest of me looks swanky.

i went to find leathers, gloves chain sprockets and brake pads

i came back with
heated grips
and sunburn

tried on rst ladies leathers...too big even the size 8s Shocked
some friends got a shark lid each, the rsr? for £30 each.

and wasnt very impressed with the gate attendants, brother and mate came both under 16 (brother 15, m8 14) and both got charged full entry because the gate attendant didnt believe them...surely its their resposinsibility to prove the lads were over 16?
didnt think the show was as good as last years one, or the tail end.

*nods*

They are a bit on the large side, and they don't make a size 6.

As for your brother and his friend not being allowed in as children I think I would have kicked up a bit more of a fuss! I've never had a problem getting into places as under 16 - I got into Kew gardens last year as an under 14 and it was never questioned Shocked
