Ok, Bandit 6's tyres are officially shagged.
What tyres should I go for?
I ride the bike daily, come rain or shine.
At the moment the tyres are as I bought it, a Battlax on the front, and a sport demon on the rear. I am going to get a set, but I don't know what to go for.
Any help appreciated muchos.

BT-010 Bridgestones. Good in the wet and dry, sticky, bt hard in the middle to prevent squaring off! ____________________ 05 ZX10R, (**05 WKR) |

In my opinion, for what it's worth, Metzeler Roadtec Z6's are EXCELLENT on a Bandit 600 in both the dry and the wet.
I had a pair of Bridgestone BT56 as original fitment which were ok grip wise, but they didn't wear too well. I then tried Pirelli Diablo's, but I just didn't feel comfortable with them when leant over hard (and they have a very rounded profile compared to other tyres) . They were quite hard wearing though.
The Metzeler Roadtec Z6's are fantastic. Great grip at all lean angles (the 'chicken strips' are totally gone on both sides of the rear and the right footpeg has been scaped several times )! They seem to be wearing well too.

Don't mean to hijack (ok i do) but howabout on the SV650? Would BT-020 be good with their slightly better wear, or is the grip/wear ratio worth changing them a little sooner on 010/014s? ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/fuzzbcf/

for me I would say the Michelin pilot power is what you are looking for! 52 degrees lean angle in the dry and 46 degrees in the wet same wear life as a pilot sport (I got 11,500KM from my last pair of pilot sports) awesome grip right from cold and a fine combination of stability front end feedback and corner response between direction changes ____________________ Those bloody footpegs......they ought to do away with em! |
