Did anyone on here race or watch the event???

I was in team Dynamite Fluff No.28, we finished 4th overall and won our class, which was a good result as it was our first time at the event and the first time I'd ever been on a moped.

Anyone going to the tail End show in Sept??

Yes! And i also want to take part in the moped enduro! Think you could answer a few questions for me though before i get my hopes up? Razz

Arrow Do you have to be over 18?
Arrow Do you have to have a full liscence (eg will my mates on a CBT liscence be eligible to help me out, and will my 33bhp restriction play a part in being able to sign up for it)
Arrow How much does it cost to enter?

Laughing

Before anyone says anything im not ducking forward trying to go faster Rolling Eyes , it to get as much weight forward as possible to stop it tucking on the left hand bend just ahead! Razz

You can see tha damage to the front of the scooter which was from my impact with a tractor tyre! Twisted Evil , its a full contact race Twisted Evil .

Was a great laugh I recommend it to anyone.

Method - Im not 100% sure mate as all the guys in our team are 20+ and all have full bike licences its questions that never came up however ring the BMF on 01162845380 and they can tell you, I've had a quick look through the rules and I cant find anything saying you need a full licence, but best to check mate.

As for price its £70 per event or £130 if you book both the May and Sept shows.

That price will get 6 people entry(£10 every additional), 4 pit passes, 2 vehicle passes, and a space to camp.

You will need to get a scooter and safety gear.

It is worth the hastle mate, its such a laugh!

Im sure it didnt mate! Rolling Eyes

As I understand it, riding on gravel/shale(I knew nothing about this until I got there and asked a few guys, now I know alittle) its important to keep the front planted, the rear can slide but if the front does you will probably go down and at them high speeds Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Wink

Well it worked we won and I only crashed once all weekend(not counting falling of in the paddock! Rolling Eyes Laughing wet grass and front brake!!hhmmmmmm Confused Confused )

Damn right! Hence why my speedway bikes (and all speedway bikes for that matter) have no brakes! You touch the front brake there my son and your getting a rather dirty face Wink Get that front wheel stuck to the dirt, or in the air, its the only way Thumbs Up

Yes the pass gets you in for the whole weekend, you get a pit pass on a neck band and a wrist band, its like a pass to all areas you can get everywhere with them for free.

The teams can be either 2 or 3 riders plus pit crew, guys to help repair, refuel etc. You sort out your own order of riding and change times etc, one of you could do most the riding if you wanted to!, we changed every 15min.

Classes are :-

Class 1 - Two stroke Sports
Class 2 - Two stroke Step-thru
Class 3 - Four stroke Sports & four stroke step-thro

We are in class 2, the fun class! Razz Razz Razz Razz

Sounds pretty fun! How much of your time does it actually take up though... do you get much time to actually look around the show etc?

It depends mate I got to see the whole show but that was at high speed looking for scooter parts, takes up most of your time to be honest, unless your scooter doesnt get damaged or dirty and requires no work at all! Razz.

Basically the free time you have is spaced so you get 1 hour here, 1 hour there.

I had time to find the new Sprint SCX-4 damper for my CBR, and melt some plastic to get it! Razz .

Its worth it mate, just dont go being really good at it! Wink.
