How are you supposed to react if your riding along at say 40mph and a wasp/bee somehow manages to fly into your helmet? |

Jump off immediately, it's the only sensible option. ____________________ Mellow Yellow

Open your visor.
If it's still in, stop the bike.

I can just imagine it now, being in the outside lane of a dual carrageway when it happens!
I've been sitting in the office this morning, minding my own business, nearly been stung twice already! |

I used to work with a bloke who got stung by a wasp inside his lid while going along. Apparently his face swelled up like a balloon, INSIDE his lid!!
Thankfully (touch wood), I've not experienced this yet. Hopefully I never will!
If I get a fly in my lid, I flip the visor up and turn my head, hoping the wind will blow it out. ____________________ My Bikepics page

Keep the visor closed at all times and it never happens. |

I have had a wasp fly into my mouth whilet riding a push bike round Fleet Pond. Shat my pants then spat the thing out.
It stung me on the inside of my lip when exiting which then swelled up. I then began to look like that bloke Bubba from Forest Gump! |

The ones which attack your face like a minature guided missile are the worst; they always seem to get you right under the eye . I've not had anything other than the occasional fly stay alive after having flown into my face. I just forgot about it, then this fly woke up and flew away once I'd stopped. ____________________ I must not be a troll...
