 |
|
Ive got a 1992 unrestricted zxr 400 SP and my mate has told me to get a rev booster, whats this i wonder! so now, after some ((i know what he means nodding)) ive scuttled off home to ask you lot! he he!
is it worth it or what? is it just for de-restricted bikes? if im honest i dont know anything about them obviously it must boost revs so dont state the obvious but can someone care to explain:
what it does to power? mid-range benefit or top end benefit only etc
where it fits?
and is it worth me getting one for my bike?
any long term damage caused by fitting one?
will my bike be quicker?

From what I can glean, you fit a 'rev booster' to a restricted 400 (normally 400) where the restriction is to 112mph by means of the ignition cutting when the speed reaches that. ____________________ I must not be a troll...

It wont damage the bike (well unless you ramp the tits off it everywhere) the bike is capable of the higher speeds.
It is a simple piece of electronics, if you had some knowledge you can make one yourself, apparently.
You bike should do close to 130mph or something, I noticed it on my bike. ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

If you really want to find out the top speed, you'll want to get GPS, or even better, get to a straightliners event. ____________________ I must not be a troll...
