This has got to be in the running for the most stupid question ever asked but ill ask anyway Laughing

How long does it take from going into a showroom saying you want that bike and paying your money for you to be able to get it. Is it like cars where you have to wait a few days?

Just its been a 2 weeks without a bike, and my loan money comes throughbt on tuesday and im going buying one on Wednesday so was wondering how long it'll take till im riding again Laughing

today was the fastest ever, went in at 11am first visit, rode a bike home at 12.15 Razz

in my opinion unless you are sorting out complicated loans thats how it should always be, its quite frustrating to have to wait, and ridiculous anyway

9 times out of 10 they do no more to the bike than has already been done, seen so many so called PDI's that havent PDI's anything, its all bollocks Thumbs Down

Don't know, cash is simpler and maybe make the price flexible...

I like the little CBR125, My mate Scott has got one, with a racing can on it and it sounds great and pulls quite well for a 125 4t. Only thing that puts me off really is that it has tyres barely wider than my moped.

If you've got it available, put it on a credit card, then pay that off with the loan. The extra guarantee is worth it.

If you just want a bike for commuting then why didn't you look at cheaper options like the CG125, GS125, SR125 etc? CBR125's just seem too much of a waste of money but then again your choice. Have fun travelling at 70mph Smile

I am buying a cbr 125 because its alot nicer looking than the cg 125. And frankly why do i need to do a burnout? Got a 1.6 vtr for doing burnouts in,just that thing is for cold and wet days and expensive to run compared to the new bike.

Oh right. I said it because I saw this video clip of some kid trying to do a burnout, but no smoke was appearing from his tyres, so its not classed as a burnout. His tyres were simply spinning on the spot with no smoke! Looked a right prat. Laughing

Right back to topic, if the dealer has the item that you want, be it car or bike and is the exact model that you have agreed to purchase you can normally drive it away that day if they have it available that is Exclamation

but if your getting it through credit you might have to wait while they run a credit check and so on.

I went into the bikedealer on Monday and took my cbr125 home the next day. That was the finance and insurance sorted too!

Nooooo they're best at stoppies. The tyres don't smoke for me doing burnouts, but a mate of mine who is a few stone heavier managed it. The bike is too light.
