New fairing/side panel or respray RS 125

Hi,

I recently had a low speed 'slip' on my Aprilia RS 125 where i skidded on some wet deisel in a car park and came skidding off. During which both my brake levers were snapped and i got a small hole in my fairing, the side panel, and it was grazed.

I want to get the fairing sorted out and am wandering whether anyone knows any cheap places to get fairings, new or second hand (as long as they are in good condition) because i was quoted well over 200 for a brand new fairing from the local Aprilia dealer.

If not, would it be an idea to get it resprayed and can the hole be filled in? If so, does can anyone tell me of any places in or around Bristol or in the South West.

Which panel is it? left/right?

What's the colour scheme of the bike?

It's a sort of grey with yellow at the bottom and a red Aprilia sticker and its the right hand side panel

ak breakers...its nearish to the airport, although they aint cheap i dont think...but you *might* get what you need...unless they have closed down, cos their website no longer works...

You absolutely 100% don't want to buy anything from Aprilia as it's just throwing money away. Probably your best bet for side fairings will be ebay as it's not as easy as doing a simple respray since you'd need to buy new decals as well.

If the hole is where I'm guessing it is - the main mounting bracket at the top centre part of the fairing - then I doubt it could be fixed to anything like 'as new' standard but I would have thought it could be sorted so that it could at least be usable again.

You can give breakers a try either in person or with an online search like this but the majority of bikes in breakers are going to have cosmetic damage just like you want to fix.

Overall I'd say watch ebay like a hawk and be as patient as possible as it would probably be by far the cheapest/best fix.

New side panel cost me £388 from speedaway.

Managed to get the other side from ebay for £40.
