Been looking for a:

Twin spot headlight like the ZXR750.
Raised square pillion seat and an optional seat cowl.
Physically big bike.
USD forks (because they look pretty)
Not the YZF750 or any of the 750's because Carol Nash say I will have to change underwriters and loose current insurance money.

YZF750 is soooo nice though, had my heart set on it till the insurance. Wasn't that much but Highway refuse to do it apparently.

Have you looked at the later FZR600Rs?

they have the same chassis and bodywork as the YZF750 foxeye.

Hi

They do not have the same chassis at the YZF750. They basically have the same chassis as the Thundercat (indeed, they basically are a Thundercat). One would make a good and cheap bike though. The older FZR600 fits the bill, except for the odd size rear wheel (same size as an NC30, except should have a V or Z rated tyre rather than the H rated ones the NC30 can get away with).

Otherwise you are looking at an NC30, H model ZXR400, GSXR400 or possibly one of the US market GSXR600s (they got a GSXR600 a good few years before the UK did).

I'd origionally been looking at the TRX850 but haven't been able to actually find one in the flesh to see how big it is.

It doesn't have full fairing and the half fairing always makes me think they've forgotten to put the rest on and it doesn't have the twin spot lights.

Pedantic I know.

edit- Don't suppose anyone knows if the FZR fairing fits on the TRX?

They're big-ish the TRXs, not particularly big enough for me, I'm 6' 2".

I like their half fairings, although I agree they look semi forgotten, and yes, single headlight.

TRX website says the twin beam headlight from FZR400 fits exactly in to the TRX fairing so in theory the fairing of the FZR would fit as well?

Is this the original lighting from the FZR400 with the screen off? The fairing looks fairly similar. Might fit with a bit of persuasion.

Hi

Not sure if that is an original one bodged up, or a cheapo replacement bodged into place. Suspect it is the same headlight in the FZR400 (and 600) as the TRX850 and some Bimotas.
