Cheap Dremmels, anyone used one?

Afternoon,

I have a couple of bolts that have I need to cut a notch into so I can get a screwdriver in.

Has anyone bought one of the cheap Dremmel imitations that are on eBay:

Are they any good? Will they be able to cut through steel? Or will I be better spending a few quid and getting the real thing?

hi. Personally i wouldnt even get a dremel-they cant go for long without overheating. What i would get is something called a "proxxon" it is a german kind of dremel but is loads better. The fixings that come with it are far superior to that of the dremel, but it does come at a price :S
If you will use a dremel for very little tasks which dont need a lot of speed, then a dremel should be fine, but if you want something which will last then i would go for the proxxon.

Got the Black and Decker version of the dremmel, proved very useful for all kinds of jobs. I think I paid either 39 or 29 squid for a pack with a case and loads of bits last year.
