Hi guys,

Got my bandit a few weeks back, for some reason the bar ends are missing.

I don't have a picture available just yet but it looks like they've been sawn off..? Can anyone tell me what the end of the bar should look like with the end's missing?

Also, there seems to be a bracket attached to the forks for an old head lamp, is it very eays to remove the bars etc to get these off? I want it to be in it's original state. Smile

Cheers!

might be best of posting pics, but does the bracket not have any nuts were you can just remove it? and the bar ends you can get universal ones or original not that hard to fit. when you say sawn off, have abit off the bars been taken away?

Well, the bar literally stops at the end of the grip, it's a little rusty round the edges like it hasn't been finished off properly, but I suppose the bike is 8 years old so would go a tad rusty in that time...

Handlebars are usually just a bit of hollow metal tube, this is what the end should look like. They are usually smoothed over a bit at the end to stop you cutting yourself on them.

Assuming it is is a headlamp bracket on the forks, they usually either bolt on in two halves or are slid over the fork legs. In the first case they simply undo, in the second case you would need to undo the yoke clamps and drop the forks down to the level of the bottom yoke. This would probably be best left 'till you have the front wheel out for something else.
