Knee down help!!

Me and my bro have just brought some knee sliders and are trying to get our knee down but we are both about 6inches away , any tips on getting your knee down eg do we need to counter steer etc and were is the best place to do it?

Both on CBR600F btw
I know that its prob been posted loads of times.

find a nice quiet roundabout and just go round and round and lean the bike lower and lower, just make sure that your tyres are nicely warmed up. at first really hang off the bike and as you get experience you can hang off less
just take it steady as it will come, try and doing it at around 30 mph

WN that is impresive especially as the bike has an upright riding position

just remember if a fecking divvy can do it a CBR600F will do it easy, its just about having the trust in warm tyres and the right techneque

Always wanted to try it. Now I need new gear I'll be buying leathers so I can attempt to get my knee down.

Doesn't the bike feel like it's going to fall inwards?? Or are you going too slow if that happens?

I managed it on friday night for the first time! On the Hire firms hornet, just a little touchdown.

I went left off a roundabout and scraped the peg so I thought right, im going back round and I'm getting the knee down!

I managed it and when I righted the bike I just started yelling! I tried it a second time and got it all wrong, my foot came off the peg and I smashed my balls on the seat!

Trouble is that its barely made any marks at all on the slider!! GRRRRR!!

I'm having loads of trouble doing it. I have touched down twice only very slightly. I lean off the bike alot and lean alot. I can sometimes scrape the peg/front of my boot (front as in when ball of your foot is on the peg) It's so annoying. Also doesn't help that i can't feckin move in my leathers because they are so tight.

u may think ur hanging off alot, but its not that much and not in the right way.

when i first started felt like i was hanging off so far
u need to get ur arse off the seat and lower down so ur knee pivots out.

The main problem I had when I was first going for knee down is I wasn't pushing my leg towards the back of the bike when I was hanging off, hope that helps.

for a right hander, to start off with when hanging off try and get your left side or your left butt cheak right to the right hand side of the bike seat

hang off like a monkey as much as you can and roll your shoulder into it. Easier said than done tho. Once you get it down once or twice you'll be able to do it whenever you want and after awhile you'll just be able to push it down without thinking about it

And lean the bike a lot, it'll go alot further than you think it will.

I've done it many a time on my old RS50. When i first attempted it,a mate took a few shots of me. I thought i would fall off if i hung any more and the bike would fall over. But when you look at the pics i was hardly hanging off at all. Just keep practising, and have trust in your tyres.

It's funny watching someone who's never done it before trying to do it. You know the bike will have NO problems whatsoever leaning that little bit more, the problem is all in that person's head.

Warning, it does become addictive. You'll soon be welcomed into the world of knee down at mini roundabouts, and hitting cat's eyes with knees.

You really do have to move across the seat.

I was being followed around a nice roundabout and informed that my can and footpeg were very close to the ground. Don't try to go any faster or lean the bike any further over
