Morning people.
Need some brain storming from you lot if that’s kool.
I have had a hectic time recently and this weekend was a real test, I spent 5 hours cleaning the VFR in the lovely weather, basically getting the wheels looking nice and taking off things like foot rests and other bits that get caked in road dirt.
I have moved out into town now and have spent the whole weekend assembling flat pack stuff and hovering and all that crap. I am tired stressed out and this morning at 6:30am I had to go back to my parent’s house and pick up the VFR.
I need to have the bike to take to Cricklade tonight for its MOT and damaged bits.
I got on the bike this morning and it won’t go, it fires, sounds like it is running on less than 4 plugs, or something to do with fuel.
Sorry for the long post and briefness of problem, any help would be great.

Is this the first time you've tried to run it since cleaning? Maybe there's water in the carbs.

I was only really using cloths, I didn’t touch near the engine, I only really took the rear fairing and seat off.
It is the first time running since cleaning.

Did you leave any cloths under the seat 'for future use'? Might have blocked the air intake? Check you haven't disturbed any wiring. Water around the plug tops if you washed it?, I wouldn't think you'd get water in the petrol unless using a pressure washer. Has it got a petrol tap you knocked to the off position when cleaning it?

I tried to do all the cleaning methodically so everything came off and then went back on straight after, I am pretty sure everything is back on and the battery has power obviously because it tries.
I am at work now so I have to wait, gonna see if I can go home at 12...
