Insurance will be a sting but if you've got the cash you can ride anything. Some of the lads are restricted and are riding litre bikes (not that they actually restrict them). Just get what you like then you'll look forward to the time when you can remove the restrictors and hammer it. Very Happy

a tip.. dont get mito until cagiva open the factory again.

cagiva parts are very hard to come by. nice looking bikes, but its only a 125. have a look at the competition as well, and bear in mind your unlikely to have it more than a year.

first of all what test have you done? and plus don't get a cagiva mito. i was going to get that bike until i saw it and the sound of it is shit. the best 125's to get is the aprilia rs125 and the nsr125. if you have passed your full test (whixh i don't think you have) you can ride up to 33bhp then after 2 years you can ride anything but if not that you can only ride upto a 125cc bike.

cagivas go like stink (well for a 125 anyhow) they dont sound nice until your screaming into the power band not many 125's sound nice at idle or even if they just not in the powerband - thats where theyre happy and thats where they wee designed to be, they do weigh alot though 130kgs 15kgs more than an aprilla and parts are very hard to come buy

dont buy a mito until atleast around june, this is when the factory should be re-opening.they do sound shit but theres a little secret that works wonders on them.my m8 over the road from me bought a mito and his bro cut and welded the thin skinny bit of pipe on the exhaust, this just doesnt let the pressure build up as much and makes it go a little faster, also sounds pretty nice Smile .but as for ur test,do it but u wont want the mito once u have passed ur test.u will get used to the mitos speed and u know u can have a bigger faster bike.so u will want to get rid of the mito and get a bigger restricted bike.trust me i know im in that position at the moment, got my nsr, passed my test and now want either a 400 or a 600.but i gota admit the mitos look well nice,i woz gona get one until i found out that they was closing down for a year.also u have to change the piston rings quite regular every so many thousand miles as they eat them like a fat bastard eatin cream cakes,Mmmm cream cakes Laughing
