Would be interesting to see what would happen if you put 100kg of weight on the front of the GSXR Smile.... to make it up to the Trumpet to some degree.

Suspect neither of them have a problem with power or torque, but the GSXR has a definite problem with the front coming up.

Razz 140HP and 147ft/lb of torque are NOT statistics to be sniffed at.

No, they're not, but taking 2.3 litres to develop 140 bhp is. Wink Still, at least it's a far more sensible (and better) machine than the Boss Hoss.

I wonder if they would ever go with a turbo diesel in that design of bike immagine what a 1.9 VW Golf TDI would feel like under the seat! 250nm of torque would be so much fun on an open winding hilly road Cool and still have enough top end power for some crazy speeds and tyre frying fun in 3rd gear Mr. Green

Even with the wheelie problem on the gixxer. (if you can call it a problem)

It just looks like the rocket straight out-drags it over the first 10-20 meters.

Then it looks like the gixxer catches up towards the end, not the best quality vid though.

That's the thing - the Rocket can accelerate harder without the front lifting, so in this case it is the 'problem' Smile.

But it's British! Wink

I'm only going off what MCN (I think it was MCN) said anyway, as I've absolutely no interest in ever owning or riding either.

plus the triumph also has one of the biggest sectioned tyres on the market too and more torque than my family car to dig into that pavement and rip it off the line, I think it would spin the rear up first before it did pull a wheelie though

The GSXR doesn't need a bigger tyre because it can get plenty of grip from the one that it does have.

I reckon the Trumpet would wheelie if it had a decent sticky tyre.

Whatever, you're still going to be limited by the front lifting or the back wheelspinning.
Could have 1000ft-lb of torque and you still wouldn't get any faster if you're doing one of those.

Have a look at the mercan stunters do high chair wheelies - and that's with no extra tuning Smile.
