Holy Shit What The Fuck Was That?!?

Picture the scene: Yesterday evening, West London. There I am riding home from the office a little earlier than usual and enjoying the free flowing traffic on the usually solid dual carriageway when all of a sudden *WHACK* something smacks me square in the face. I blinked a split second before it hit and when I re-open my eyes all I can see is pieces of gunge covering my goggles. At first I thought it was a another bird strike but a quick exploratory sniff later and I'm greeted with the aroma of boiled fucking egg, yuck!

In the few seconds it takes me to pull to a stop, wipe the view clear and take a look around it becomes clear that the offending projectile must have come from a car going the other way. Both sides of the carriageway are doing roughly 50mph, giving the egg an impact speed of around a ton - no wonder it felt like a bloody bird! - and enough oomph to put a crack in the peak of my motocross lid. I decide I'm going after whoever threw this thing and pull onto the other side, not having a clue what I'm actually looking for, or even if I'm sure it came from a car.

Less than a minute of rapid progress between the cages and I spot an arm appear out of the passenger window of a black Golf GTi a few cars ahead, egg in hand. Their aim is again spot on and the new projectile meets the windscreen of a transit van coming the other way, exploding in a puff of white gunge. I pull alongside the car just as traffic comes to a halt at a set of lights and see five big black blokes in their twenties grinning back at me, not looking entirely friendly. I motion the guy to wind down his window while shouting something along the lines of "what the fuck do you think you're doing" but all I get is the middle finger and a quizzical look that implies what you gonna do about it, cunt?.

A very hasty assessment of the situation coupled with the fact that the lights are about to change leaves me thinking that I am in fact not in a position to do much at all, really, since I don't particularly fancy stopping for a chat with the heavies and trying to explain to them the error of their ways, as well as point out that they owe me fifteen quid for a helmet peak. The lights change and both the passenger and driver again give me the finger, with the three in the back laughing their heads off at the whole thing. Arseholes.

And then I spot the very trick carbon fibre wing mirror.

got me angry just reading that!! i got an apple chucked at me by 3 chavs in a corsa and i thought if i dont do something now i will just be kicking my self so they were at the lights i rode up to them slowed right down booted there door and flew off lol now when ever i think about it i just get such a smug feeling

I'll be looking out for a GTi minus a carbon fibre wing mirror on my travels in West London. I'll snap off the other one to give the car a more balanced appearance if I see it

Seriously, what were they thinking? Clearly not thinking at all!! The 'what ifs' are too frightening to contemplate. Glad you're alright though!

My line of thinking was like this:
5 black men in a New golf GTi, carbon fibre wing mirrors -- i.e. spent money on the car, newer cars are hard to get into and drive away.

The bonny ricardo says it was probably stolen and he would firebomb it.

I'm not accusing him of being a racist, iu just thought it was a racist commen thats all. No need to all go and moan about it.
