Pick a copper on a bad day and you'll get 3 points for each L plate, and a £30 fine for the number plate. 6 points = Ban.

A stupid risk, all for the sake of a full size L plate and number plate.

That plate is REALLY small! I got pulled for my 9x3. Have you been pulled for that one before? If not tell me where u live because i'm moving there.

if i had that plate and L-plate on my scoot, id get pulled every 5 seconds... i knew one lad that had stickers on a FULL size L-plate and got a 30 pound fine....
Personaly dont like scoots as a bike.. had one, but never again....
as for the plates, if u lived round here id say you've got balls, or know friends at the dvla in high places...

Canvey Island, Essex. Police are pretty lenient, i had a traffic police st220 behind me the other day, didnt bat an eye lid.

As for SteveH i'm getting bored of this one now, i think i'll move on to a runner172 next then after a year or so on that will be a bike.

I didn't say it wasn't a nice bike.

I was simply pointing out that for the sake of a full size plate and two L plates you wouldn't have any legal problems at all.

Seems a silly risk.

Essex police don't like small plates and dodgy L plates either, you must have been lucky so far.

Fair enough, i just didn't like the kid comment.

Yeah it is a bit silly to be honest, but i like to have a nice looking bike, as do thousands of other bikers.

Hmm the police around where i live in essex arent too bad, or perhaps i am just waiting to be pulled, on goes standard plate for a week or so.

What actually happens if you get pulled with a one liner plate? I have a smaller plate but not one liner. Never any problems.

You get a non endorsable fine of 30 quid i think, or you have to go to mot with a standard plate and get a form stamped.
