heres Ryan Farquhar on his R1 (i think) Which is maybe a little too close to the ground for my liking

https://aolsearch.aol.co.uk/redir?urn=https://www.n-ippa.org/Images/Article%20pics/Stephen%20Davison/Big/On%20the%20edge.jpg&rank=3&source=googleImage&searchType=IS&partner=Google&query=ryan%20farquhar

Can anyone find a lower bike??

Hmm, we need some rules....

...They have to be in control of the bike. Razz

That was Rossi mid fall off, but he fell back on again.

That's control enough for me.

If you lean your bike over until your peg touches the ground, you'll see the bike is over a hell of a long way!

I know that doesn't account for sag etc, but it's the same principle.

Tamada always impresses me. I know people get their elbows down, but he always looks in danger of getting the side of his helmet down!

Xaus does have to try hard to catch up, being at the back all the time n' all.

Ok, I'll find that rossi pic then.

Gaz

EDIT #1:https://motorcyclebloggers.com/images/angrybob/april05/rossi_legup.jpg

This was mid fall off, he pushed the bike back up with his elbow/knee and carried on.

Almost as impressive as Troy Bayliss falling off twice in one race and carrying on to finish 5th.

EDIT #2: Notice the direction of the front wheel in both this pic and Xaus' one. Not good.

Thta is definatly Ruben Xaus mid-crash, you can see the front end tucked in.

I think you mean the race in Australia(?) last year that Rossi actually came partially off the bike mid corner and yet saved it and wont the race! Shocked

If anyone reads 'fast bikes' then you may have seen one of their test riders on a mille R factory with his elbow on the deck. Thats far more impressive to me than Rossi doing it, rossi can automatically do anything he wants on a bike, he's a god, the rest of us have to work at it a little harder!

My bike wasn't actually very leant over (tyres nearing the end of their life etc) - I was just using the 'hang off like a monkey' technique - which is when I usually get it out Smile.

Aww, it's not working, the thread I think I saw it in is just doing the constant refreshing thing for me (or what looks like it). I hate computers. Sad
