Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of a workshop manual for my newly acquired Honda FX 650 Vigor. It's a 2001 registration. A copy of the official Honda Dealer CD would do if the price was right.

Thanks

I'll speak to mike about it.

What info are you after?

I used to have an XBR500G which has an incarnation of the RVFC motor.

I'm after the whole manual. I intend doing all my own servicing/repairs.

The bike didn't come with an owner's manual, so I can't even cover the basics like spark plug gap, changing the air filter or how much oil to put in it.

I can copy a CD overnight or even photocopy a book if I could borrow it for a weekend. I would be happy to cover postage costs and a bit on top to say thanks.

mike has two copies of the owners manual, a nice one and a grotty one

he'll no doubt let you have the grotty one, and i'll see if i can get the valve clearance specs for you.

The FX650 vigors frame suspension and engine are IDENTICAL to the SLR650-they are the same bike bar the plastic and the exhaust pipes. So all stats apply-the vigor manual is the SLR650 manual with a FX addendum

also for engine maintenance the XR500 and 650 and the XBR500 SJ late model have the same motor, if you can find the manual it will teach you tha basics.
