I mean my cb750 of course.

Everything i do to make her run better or look better she just throws it back at me and comes up with a new problem.

A few examples.......

1/ i completely gave her a respray she looks great but then wouldn't start for a few days, i couldn't find the problem then when i had nearly given up she jumped back to life again!

2/ a little while ago a done a service on her, New plugs, air filter, oil and filter, while doing the sump plug back up i cracked the sump(i know this is my fault but i still blame her) so i had to drain the oil back out, take off the sump and bodge it with some chem metel and instant gasket

3/ i discover i small blow in the exhaust but its just out of reach to patch it properly so i take off the system, patch the hole and put back on only to find that as its got a twin system it takes me three times longer to put it back on again and i then crush and break the link pipe in the middle, so another bodge to stop i blowing from the middle joint

4/ i fit braided lines, bleed through the system and then find the calipers and pistons are rotten and need cleaning

5/ today i fit a set of mini indicators as the original ones look crap all the old indicators come off easy apart from one which is well and truly rusted on, in the end the bolt comes loose but rotates the shaft inside the rubber so it won't come off any way so i just broke it off instead. I put the new indicator on and low and behold the new one shears its bolt aswell(roll on another bodge with cable ties untill i can get some new indicators)

So can anyone shed some light on why she does this to me? Maybe i should have left her alone but all im trying to do is make her something different then any other bike.

Help she's driving me mad but i love her and don't wanna get rid of her.

I would recommend developing some mechanical sympathy.
What did you use to put the sump plug back in? A sledgehammer?

Now with the sump plug i did it up hand tight and thought i would give it a quarter turn with the rachet to tighten it, but i guess my hand tight could have been tight enough
