Exaust is mauled inside, pics here and help needed.

Well i think i may have found the wierd problem to my bike losing power when i try and go fast.
This is the exhaust, its a wierd stock can system:

The thing on the right came out when i cut the end off, and the thing on the left was just rolling about down the bottom:

Now im guessing there were like plates in the front and back sealing around those pipes and they have just rusted away.

Now the question:
Those plates are obviously gone, and the bike wasnt THAT loud, so what if i just left them out all together and just had the rear pipe bit left which goes to the end of the can? Will this cause my bike to run bad, or just stay loud? Are those other pipes for back ressure or what.

And also do you think this is what was causing my bike to run like crap?

I can hear the other can rattling so it must be the same.

Right.
I ran it with the cans off.

The gas from the top exhaust is REALLY hot, the bottom one is cool/warm. Why?

It still isnt putting out much gas. It seems that when its idling i can feel pulses of exhaust, then when i rev it, they go away and i cant feel anything but heat. Why done i have any exhaust gas?
On my mates bike, when he revs it, my hand is blown off.

it sounds to me something has broken inside the zorst and is blocking the exhaust gases from escaping, have a look down the exhaust

I tried pouring water down there and it seems to flow ok.

The only way to be sure will be to chop up the pipes and see if there are any obstructions-the water can get through but it may be enough of a restriction to kill performance.

Obstructions are likely to be stuc in bends in the pipes.
