Had a day out yesterday at a rally day.
I know this is a bike forum, but has anyone else tried one of these days, they are great.
Started they day going round a course on quads. You had to memorise the route then go against the clock.
Next it was an Off Road buggy race. 3 races each then the semi, then the final. I came 2nd in my three races and the semi.
Lunch Break (greasy burgers).
Then into rally Nova's for an 8 stage rally. This was good fun ragging the shit out of them round a gravel/dirt track.
We were in teams of 7 racing against the clock. I was third in the team I was out with.
Last and the best of all Rally Subaru's. These things are beasts.
First I got taken out round the track and shown how they should be driven. Total awesome in the right hands, the guys that race these things are trully talented.
Then it was my turn. It can't really describe how it feels to have one of these things powersliding round corners, etc except by saying go and try it. These cars are the dogs bollocks.
Even for a someone like me who races bikes, I really enjoyed it and would highly reccommend trying one of these days out.
