Oil help

Hi

I'm going to do my first service on my bike. And wandered whats the correct 4 stroke oil to use?

Its a Honda City Fly 125cc its done 8k miles. Do you think 10w 40 would be correct?

10W40 mineral or semi synthetic bike oil.

fully synthetic wouldnt hurt it either, its really down to u to decide how much u want to spend

As this engine is probably based on an original design that's older than me, I wouldn't waste my money using any sort of synthetic in it. Ordinary 'car' 10W/40 should do the job, just change it and any filters regularly.

Normal Castrol GTX 10/40 or 15/40 will do the job fine.

doesnt hurt to give the engine a little more protection tho, we (at work) put motul 300v (fully synth) in pretty much everything be it a MT-01 or a cygnus scooter.

regular oil changes are more important than the brand of the oil that goes in. GTX is just fine.

As long as it's regularly changed then most brands should be adequate. Have you not got a manual telling you the correct type?
