In short. NO

You should have walked to the shell garage to get the L plates (or cycle perhaps?)

then fit them before going out on the road.

This would be a case of "pissing on your own chips" mate.

You had NO Lplates???

If so they could have had you for 3points and £60 EACH so you got off lightly.

Allways have spares, if they snap off keep the snapped bit to show them, "look its just snapped im off right now to get a new one"

Every scootay owner or l-plate biker without them will give them the same excuse, your just unlucky you were genuine (though i dont see how you could loose both?)

Sods law, it will allways be when you dont put on x/y/z for a 1/2 mile ride that you'll get stopped and botty raped for it.

One plate fallen off, yes... you could have argued it. One of mine was hanging on by a thread once before I noticed it..but TWO !!?
No way..
what are the chances of that ? Shocked

Any chav would have given that excuse, as has been said, they will have heard it SO many times it is unreal.

When my rear L did eventually snap off, the bracket was still there.. good evidence that it had been on the bike.

The copper was doing his job and having a bad day probably.

My Fiance has six points, and his insurance hardly changed.
But he is in his 30's..don't know how old you are.
And he has a full licence.

So you had a bit of one left and that was it?

Like i said, you could have a £120 fine and 6 points to deal with.

Dont know if it could carry a worse penalty, seeing as your rideing without L plates and you should be displaying them as part of your provisional licence/...

If your out of line with the law however petty and shit then expect to get got, very rare are the ones who will let your get away with it.

Maybe they know you on sight now and aren't taking any sh*t.
If they know you are a group famous for speeding and no L plates in the area, then they won't waste their time any more.

Get a bigger bike then you will get stopped less as you wont need L plates.

And even if they do try to stop you youve more chance of doing a runner and getting away Wink

Oh come on robbie, you've put loads of posts up about how you & your ped-boi mates ride without Ls, race each other, I'm sure it was you recently said you had no MOT when your mates got stopped too, or it may have been insurance.

Stop whinging, you took a risk and you lost. Learn a lesson from it and don't be such a dick in future!
