Well moto gp quals just finished (guess whos first...) and front row looks like this:

1. Valentino Rossi
2. Sete Gibernau
3. Marco Melandri

On melandri's last lap on his qual tyre he ran into abit of trouble when he came across max biaggi who was cruising around 5mins after he finished his last qualifier lap in the middle of the track! Melandri proceeded to overtake on the inside of max lookin at him and contact was made and max was lucky to stay on! Should make good viewing for the race tommorow!

I see it as payback for what Biaggi done to Franco Battaini, poor chap was sent literally down the road for Biaggi's own mistake, but such is racing, just hope they can get the bike up to scratch for the racing tomorrow as its definitely going to be a good one! That new chicane is certainly one of the more interesting spots to keep an eye on. Thumbs Up

Biaggi is such a twat, his title of 'The little emperor' sums it all up.

Biaggi definitely had it coming, but I think something must have happened off camera between them for Melandri to do something like that. It didn't seem like the sort of thing you'd expect him to do under normal circumstances anyway.

Roll on a decent race. Thumbs Up

(Coverage starts 12:30 tomorrow on eurosport for the GP guys)

Lately I have been impressed by the likes of Mokoto Tamada and Shinya Nakano. They have been riding very well recently, with Tamada putting out some impressive displays. Nakano's class is showing, and has been rewarded with an impressive 4th place. They didn't really stick out last season, but definitely making a big impact this year. Keep it up boys!

I would say the opposite regarding Tamada really. He performed brilliantly last year including a GP win (multiple? can't remember) but hasn't been quite up to speed in the season so far. Does look like he's gradually becoming happier on the bike though.

Nakano's just plain great. Wink The kwakka's are slowly getting there.

As far as up coming talent goes i think john hopkins needs to be stuck on a decent bike, the amount of problems and performance from the suzuki is bad for any rider but you can see he realli does giv it his all! In terms of the race im lookin forward to seeing a hopefully closer battle in the rain where sete or gibernau may take victory, and prolly seeing xaus crash out just for a change

Yeah. It was reported that it was Biaggi's father who tried to be physically violent to Melandri while he was standing next to one of the barriers in parc ferme!

Cant wait to see the racing tomorrow, should be very interesting if we see the new rain rule in play for the first time.

There's a statement on the moto gp website. Apparently Biaggi has been fined for 2 offences - doing a practice start before everyone has completed their qualifying laps and being obstructive (is what I think it boiled down to) and his uncle has had his access pass revoked for his altercation with Melandri in Parc Ferme.

Well if you will hold up Melandri, especially with a practice start while he's on a flyer, you've got to expect some kind of payback.

Poor old Max,he was #1 Italian before Rossi joined the top class now he's #3 behind Melandri who's only on a customer bike, while he's still not performing on the factory machine.Thats got to be getting to him, shame really he was a great 250 rider,4 times champ says it all really.
