lights - is this an mot failier?

insted of having a highbeam switch the light switch is

Off
low beam (insted of side lights)
High (insted of low)

the parking lights work though.

would this pass an mot?

I suppose it depents how thorough they are.

When my bike was tested a couple of weeks back, I sat on the bike and the tester told me what lights to put on so he could see.

One way to find out I suppose, sounds like it could be sorted quite easy though, just a wiring problem.

switch the lights to low beam and tape the switch up, it is then classed as having the lights permanlty on and should pass.

high beam is not required for a MOT
