5-6k would be just as the mid range (what mid range, its a two stroke! Laughing ) kicks in, and the pilot jets are still going.

Setting up your mixture screws, will help out more than you might think. Otherwise it would have to be taking the carb appart and checking for blockages etc.

Jet size increase will only effect what it's like in the powerband. Mid range is all pilot jets and needles Thumbs Up

thing is when i alter the mixture and needle i can never get it right and if i get it right it runs too hot or i get it to lean or to rich but at a decent temp
maybe i should get a pro to do it?

whats that thing you have to do with the CDI unit?

My RS125 seems to have a flat spot between 6-7k revs.

seems to sort it self out by reving right through the gears a couple of times but really pisses me off!

Thanks

Dan

May seem like a silly question, but after you cut the hole in the CDI, did you actually break the bridge which causes the ignition retard before sealing it back up?

Also, playing with the mixture can be a dangerous game and a rather expensive one. If you've fitted the power valve unit, you dont need to adjust the mixture as its set up to run full power and not restricted.
