Check out the mighty chicken strips on this bike I found on eBay! (Yes I'm looking for a fireblade...)

Your confusing chickenstrips and just general wear.

This is a chickenstrip (and a fit bird):

These arn't chickenstrips, but a line of dust from the last road he/she rode on:

Although the first one was done by burnouts!

Yeah, um, my point was that the rider doesn't seem to do much leaning, at all, ever. It's a commuting fireblade. Get a CB500 if ya gonna commute, innit!

Doh, you missed my point!

To have a 2 inch strip in the middle of your tyre and thats it, would be near enough impossible, even if he took corners really really slowly, he'd still have about 4 inches in the middle of the tyre used and a gap either side of about an inch.

The strip of tyre your looking at is from doing burnouts or a lot of motorway riding. If you look at the edges of the tyre you can see he has no chickenstrips, so probably leans it ovr a lot more than you think.

Why? I commuted on a Fireblade, and used it for fun when I wasn't commuting. They're ideal, loads of grunt, strong engines, good MPG and fairly comfortable for a sportsbike.

That tyre wear isn't chicken strips, it's just totally worn. The edges of your tyres are never going to be as worn as the middle unless you've found a way of getting from one place to the other without ever using the middle of your tyre, or you just spend all day going round roundabouts Eh?
