Hi

This weekend CMC in Chesterfield had a test ride day with 3 bikes fitted with lowering kits, including an R6.

We wandered along but Charlotte had to go into work so did not get a chance to grab a test ride. However she had no problems touching the ground on the modified R6 (nor the SV650, which she normally does not have a hope of touching the ground on).

The kits they are using are supplied by FI International. Their web page is here:-

https://www.fiinternational.com/Reducers.asp#

It contains a search facility for the kits.

Not sure what effect these kits will have on the handling. Apparently the R6 kit only lowered the back end which I would suspect would have some strange effects.

All the best

Keith

though my knowledge is admittedly limited, this sounds like it would affect the characteristics of the bike. sometimes i'm really glad i'm tall! Very Happy

We had the back end lowered on our ZXR400H and even had the front lowered as much as possible to try and compensate, but it turned a razor sharp handling bike into one that I have little confidence in Sad

It reduced the feel front the front end and makes it more difficult and slower to tip in.

It rides o.kish, but nothing like it used to Rolling Eyes

I was going to go up to Chesterfield on Saturday with the missus, but had other commitments, how was the rest of it?

Hi

Afraid we went up on the Sunday when there was nothing special on, but they still had the bikes there.

All the best
