What are your thoughts on dinky indys ??
They add character to a bike, and are no problem in my eyes..if people can't see them..they should get glasses !!

What do you all think of dinky indicators ?
My new bike has them..and being girly I like them. They are neat, trim, pinky/purple in colour Wink They do though, seem very tiny.

I can see that, although they have all of their fashion loveliness, they are not the most visible of things.
I can see myself getting bigger ones..maybe just for peace of mind ?!

Anyone with experience of them in everyday use ? Have problems with them ?

I have fairly small ones on my bike - they are ok - imo but you do see some that are ridiculously small - i think they could be classed as dangerous - there should be some sort of legal size requirement.

I put small ones on my bike opposed to the great big wings Honda see fit to attach.

I know people have problems spotting them, though this is due to teh fact I dont use them. Laughing

In a perfect world they would be great, unfortunately there so many knuckle draging simpletons on the road they (imo) are adding to the risks Sad

Just one of those things, if they looks better enough to justify your indications being less visable then, same allot of trick bits for bikes, they have dissadvantages Sad

I'd seriously considered adding more, but then it wold take a liiiitle bit more than dinky indicators yo make mine look better Razz

Get some off fleabay, have a try, if you dont like them flog them!

My AJS had no indicators. My Bullet has big, elephant ear like indicators. I'm just as invisible on either, so size doesn't matter really. Go for it.

If the police quiz you, just tell them you either drive a BMW or a taxi, and therefore have no idea how indicators work.

Well Jodie, if they are the same as mine then they are legal. Although small they have much brighter bulbs than normal indicators so are clearly visible even on a bright day. The only problem I've had was a couple of dodgy bulbs which blew within a week (seperate days), the shop replaced them for free but it was a pain as I have to take the whole cowl and rear set off just to change a bulb.

I changed the OEM's for mini arrow indies on my old CBR4, and they were great looking. And when flashing were f*cking bright, especially when compared top the OEM's!

I changed mine simply because the bike instantly lost about a kilo in weight. Laughing
