Got the ZZR600 out of the garage today as l do every morning to commute 20 miles to work, but l had accidentally left the parking lights on all night , so the battery was dead Embarassed . After 5 attempts at bump starting it l gave up and dusted off my Honda superdream and rode that to work instead.

Now tonight I’ve re-charged the battery but when l connected it back up to the bike l got a flash from the indicators (oh shit me thinks there’s a hidden immobiliser l never knew about Doh! ) now the engine turns over on pressing the start button but l,m getting no spark which must mean the immobiliser is a single circuit coil immobiliser.

l,ve had a good look at the loom but the immobiliser has been professionally installed so l have no idea how to remove/disable it. On closer inspection of the control box for the immobiliser it’s a “SPYBALL 156GB” with about 12 cables coming out of it into various parts of the loom.

Anyone had or installed one of these and still has a wiring diagram or knows how to disable one. I never got a fob for the Spyball so never knew it was there.

I've removed a few alarms and immobilisers in my time and the most useful thing I've ever found is the original wiring diagram. The wires for a decent alarm/immobiliser are black, very few of the original wires in a bike loom are black, except earth, and that's easily tested.

If you are local to Southampton I could help. I'd assume not though Very Happy

l manged to find a old fob for it in a plastic wallent in the hords of paper work l got with the bike, stuck a new 1.2v mini battery in it and disabeld it.

the messy complicated way the system had been wired in would of made it extremely difficult to remove. Thank god l found a fob or l would have been fucked.

Ah superdreams. Saviour of many people in this position. Can be left for months and still start first or second kick (or even on the button if your posh). Pitty the frames tend to rot away.
