On my way to join the A23 from Croydon, so a route I don't know that well I got flashed by a camera that's hiding behing some traffic lights. It was down Mitcham Road and considering it's hidden I'm sure a few of you know the one I'm talking about.
1st time I've been flashed in four years of riding (from rear facing cameras anyway...) so I'm a bit annoyed at myself.

Here's hoping there's no film in there... Praying

Before ANYONE says "Don't you mean Camera? Laughing ROFL MY TOFFLE I AM TEH 1337 SPELLING MISTAKE FINDER." Then consider the fact that he probably meant to call it a scamera...they scam you, and its a camera!

Or Scam-era ing you out of money.

They always catch the 45s in a 30- not the 160s down the 60 roads. Confused

Nope - it's definitely scam-era.

Any idea what the chance is that it had a camera in it, and if said camera had film in it? Confused

If it flashed twice, you are screwed...Once and you are ok.

usually true but not always
I got double flashed by one on the way into london near twickenham and did not receive anything.
Lucky I know but it means all may not be lost yet for the OP.

The police have no more than 14 days from the date of the offence to ensure that the registered keeper receives a notice of intended prosecution. It is the keeper's duty to tell them who was driving on the occasion, otherwise they are committing an offence.
If you do not receive it within that time period (assuming there are no complications such as moving house etc) then they will not be able to take you to court.

If you do receive one, always ask for a copy of the photograph.

They have 6 months to "lay an information" before the court.

if found guilty you will likely receive between 3 and 6 points for 45 in a 30. (I received 3 pts and £60) for 54 in a 40.).

Twice can still mean there's no film in it but they've turned on the radar etc to worry people.

Also it may have just already used up all it's film.

Yeah it's been over 14 days so I'm safe. Mr. Green
It did flash twice but may not have had a camera in there, and if it did it there wasn't any space for me on the film.
