ok im not very happy at moment i got no bike, no money Sad
dont get paid till 26th ish owe me mum n dad 200 quid for a car i didnt even want, im learning to drive (there wish) but i want a bike,
i got knocked off me moped, and i think its gonna go knock for knock although hes trying to blame me,
so i gotta buy a new lid n tht, and i was just wondering becuase ive been looking at 125s, some of the bigger bikes apear to be cheaper, so how much would it cost to do my test bearing in mind i cant ride a geared bike tht well (never had pracice on roads) ive been riding about 1.5 years ,

If you've got no real experience of riding a geared bike, if you're thinking of taking a course, around here they work out roughly at around £100 a day inclusive of bike hire.

At the end of the course off you go to take your test.

A practical test alone is £51 weekdays and £60 evening and weekends.

Don't forget you'll also need a theory test pass first which is £20.50

I'm not sure whether it would qualify as the same thing. I've just done the bike theory test and it's the same footage as the car one apparently. You'd have to ask that one I think.

As for how long, I don't know, I've been riding for seven years and had just been told I could do with a two day course. For me, it's about bringing my riding up to the required standard.

If you've never used a geared bike before, you'll have to gain the co-ordination as well.

Ah hang on, you just said you've got a CAR theory test.

You'll have to get a bike one, the theory questions are totally different, it's just the hazard perception that's the same.
